Quarry
- Due to increasing domestic demand for aggregates, especially in the property development and construction industry as well as road infrastructure projects, quarry business became another principal activity undertaken by TH Group initially in Sri Aman, Sarawak sometime in 2014.
TH Group has recently strategically expanded its Quarry Division beyond Sarawak into Perak, Peninsular Malaysia in response to growing demand for mineral resources within Malaysia. This includes the commencement of two major projects in Gopeng and Kanthan, Perak.
TH Group envisions to be a contributor towards the nation’s continued strive towards developed status and contribute towards the local economic sectors in Perak.
Sandvik (Semi-Mobile)
Based in Kuching, Sarawak, Tung Hup Mining (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd was established in 2013 and is a wholly owned subsidiary within TH Group’s group of companies. It is the sole appointed operator for the 63.50 hectare quarry located in Sri Aman, Sarawak for the term of the Quarry Licence spanning 15 years (2024-2029) and the quarry is capable of producing approximately 378 million metric tonnes of crush stone aggregates.
Beginning with 5 hectares, the quarry has now expanded to over 10 hectares producing aggregates for granite, heavy engineering works, infrastructure projects and the building construction industry.
