The Kanthan Project focuses on the extraction and sale of high-purity silica quartz.

TH Intan Sdn. Bhd. has been appointed as the contractor to extract, transport, and sell silica quartz over a 129.9-acre portion of land held under PT 253407 in the Mukim Hulu Kinta, Daerah Kinta, Perak.

To support downstream activities, Mineral Explorasi Sdn. Bhd., a related entity within the Group, will be constructing a dedicated processing plant at a nearby factory premises. This facility will be used for the processing of raw quartz purchased from TH Intan, enhancing value creation and enabling quality control across the entire production chain.

The project is undertaken with full technical capability and manned by a dedicated in-house team, equipped with the necessary expertise and machinery to execute large-volume orders efficiently and responsibly.

TH Group’s venture in Kanthan emphasizes value-driven operations, long-term partnerships, and product reliability, meeting demands in the glass manufacturing, electrical, electronics, and construction industries.

Tung Hup Mining (Perak) Sdn. Bhd.

In 2024, Tracpower Sdn. Bhd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of TH Group) acquired Powerled Quantum Sdn. Bhd., a company which holds long-term mining leases spanning 30 years (2022–2052) across several parcels of land located in Mukim Tanjung Tualang, District of Kinta and Mukim Teja, District of Kampar. Also known as the Gopeng Project, the core business is focused on the extraction of tin ore, silica sand, and valuable by-products such as manganese, limestone, and ball clay.

Tung Hup Mining (Perak) Sdn. Bhd. has been appointed as the contractor to mine and extract the tin ore, silica sand and other by-products.

These lands are strategically situated within a mineral-rich corridor, enabling TH Group to meet demands across industrial and construction sectors while upholding the highest standards of environmental stewardship and operational excellence.
