Having successfully restructured its operations in the 80s, and consolidated its strengths in plantations and contracting services, the Group was well positioned to embark on more aggressive growth strategies. In the year 2000, the Group made a long-term strategic decision to invest in the New Economy, namely IT and related industries.

It is the management’s belief that information technology (IT) forms an integral part of the new wave sweeping global economies. To capitalise on the many opportunities presented by the technology and system development sector, the Group then set up a new subsidiary, iTech Worldwide, in the mid-2002. The company specialises in the provision of IT business solutions, systems integration and project consultancy.
